I know that in Colorado these critters are the bane of many people. From digging holes in peoples yards and gardens to carrying diseases, they are a pest… But they sure are cute. I headed over to Standley Lake this morning to get some shots of the prairie dogs and any other critters I could find, but all I saw were the prairie dogs (and some ant hills). It was a little overcast at times, probably from the smoke from the fires that sprung up yesterday. I would have liked it a bit cooler than it was today, but the dogs like to sun themselves, so they were active.
