Friday was Standley Lake’s homecoming game against Adams City and it was hell. I hate night football. For this game, the only football game of the evening, I tried a new strobe, and I did not like it. I will have to tweak it some before I am happy with it.

I used an Adorama Flashpoint bare bulb strobe with battery pack. It is much more powerful than the strobe I used three years ago, but I just did not get a balance that I liked. Like I said, I will have to tweak it some for the next night game.

Standley Lake won the contest, but it was not pretty. Adams City looked out of place and lost for a while, and their coaches had no sense of sideline rules. They were constantly leaving the 25 yard box, either getting in my way or actually walking into me. Finally the sideline official gave them a sideline warning, but it continued. I understand how excited coaches can get, but there are rules and if the players and media have to follow them, so do the coaches.
