And it was bound to happen. My first, and hopefully only, football snow game of the season. Chaparral visited the NAAC in Arvada, Colorado to take on the Pomona Panthers on a snowy October 26. The Panthers were ranked #3 in the state and Chaparral came in ranked 10th.

It was snowing hard. Grounds crew at the NAAC were plowing the field when I showed up in full winter shooting gear. During the game, they shoveled the lines across the field and back trying to keep things clean enough to keep playing.

Pomona shut Chaparral out. Scoring 34 points, Pomona made a case for them moving back up to number two in the state.
