MaxPreps posted these backwards, so my blog is out of order. The football game posted earlier, Mountain Vista at Pomona, was actually the second game. Anyway, Fruita Monument traveled to the NAAC in Arvada, Colorado to take on Standley Lake.

The game was one sided with Fruita Monument dominating the Gators 42-8. But the game was not as important as what took place before it started. When Fruita Monument took the field, every player carried an American flag. Then, once again during the National Anthem, the players all held flags. Very cool. After the game a lot of people thanked the team for doing that.
