2017 CHSAA Football Pinnacle at Arvada

Friday night I had a double header football game as Colorado’s Arvada High School Bulldogs took on Pinnacle Charter School. Neither team had scored a point all season, and while Arvada would go on to win the game, it was a win for both teams as they both ended up scoring.

It may have been the level of play, but both teams did not look bad. On one hand, Arvada has a lot of talent, but it seemed like they could easily get intimidated. The Pinnacle team, on the other hand, had a lot of good and talented players, they just lacked numbers and a lot of kids were playing both offense and defense. A larger Pinnacle team would likely give them more confidence, and more wins, but being a charter school, they suffer there.

Arvada went on to win their homecoming game 30-6 through sun, rain, and wind. Again, I shot the game from the visitors side, looking into the sun. I really like the lighting on the players this gives me, but it gives a weird look to the grass. It is a trade off.

Here are some photos from the game. To see more and purchase some, visit MaxPreps.
