Friday Night HS Football

Back to the gridiron for the game between the Longmont Trojans and the home team Ralston Valley Mustangs.  This game was billed by MaxPreps as one of the top 5 games of the week in Colorado with the Mustangs ranked 4th in CHSAA 5A Football.

Ralston Valley took control early in the game, scoring 2 touchdowns in the first quarter, and two more in the second.  The Ralston Valley defense held the Trojans to only a touchdown in the second quarter, and denied a two point Longmont conversion attempt, to take a 28 to 6 lead into halftime.

In the third quarter, Ralston Valley scored two more touchdowns, and completed two 2 point conversions while holding Longmont to just a touchdown.  This game the Mustangs a 44 to 13 lead going into the 4th quarter.  In the fourth, Longmont found their legs and were able to hole RV scoreless.  However, the Trojans were only able to tack on 16 more points and fell to the Mustangs 44-29.
