HS Girls Basketball – Lady Mustangs continue to roll

Just over 24 hours after defeating their rivals Arvada West, the Lady Mustangs were back on their home court to face the Chatfield Chargers.

Ralston Valley came out strong in the first quarter, outscoring the Chargers 15-9.  The Chargers picked things up in the second quarter, but were still outscored by the Mustangs 15-12.  So Ralston Valley held a 9 point lead going into halftime.

In the third quarter Ralston Valley turned on the pressure, not letting the Chargers get down the court too often and put up 17 points to Chatfields 9 points.  In the final frame RV topped Chatfield 15-10 to win the game 62-40 and move on to a 8-1 league record, sitting in second behind the undefeated Lakewood Tigers.  RV will face Lakewood next week, and Chatfield’s next game is against Lakewood.
