HS Girls Soccer – Raptors Prey on Panthers
After the season opener last Thursday at the NAAC, day two was postponed because of snow, so Monday was the next chance to shoot some soccer. This time, the Pomona Panthers played host to the Eaglecrest Raptors.
It was a beautiful day, so I set up a remote camera behind the goal. I chose the south goal so the sun would be behind and off to the side some instead of shooting directly into it. Of course, all the action in the first half took place in front of the north goal. Thankfully, there was a lot of action in the second half in front of my remote.
Eaglecrest got the first half going with two goals while holding Pomona scoreless. Thankfully, with the sun on my back, I was nice and warm.
In the second half, the Raptors really turned it on. Bellow, you will see a open net goal. It is followed by the only good shot I got from my remote. It is typically a crapshoot on what you get from a remote. Eaglecrest added 5 more goals in the second half and allowed only one by Pomona, giving the Raptors a 7-1 win. There was a short delay of game as a bunny ran out onto the pitch. This gave all the girls a good laugh.
Here is my 10 Shot from the game.
