I had my first double header football game Friday night. This first game had Mesa Ridge visiting the North Area Athletic Complex to face Standley Lake. It was a gorgeous day and the sun was blazing hot. The game started and it was not to exciting. Seemed like both teams were going three plays and punting. Back and forth. Finally Standley Lake took a 7-0 lead. Mesa Ridge came back in the second half with a field goal, and then a touchdown that gave them a 10-7 lead. Lake would not go down without a fight though, and they pulled a touchdown late in the game to take a 14-10 lead and held that for the win.

I shot facing the sun, and while this is not ideal, there are a few reasons why I did this. Why? Well, that will have to wait until a YouTube video I am planning, but I will give you one of the reasons. Shooting into the sun, you get a nice rim lite that give some spectral highlight off helmets, and it looks pretty cool. For the other reasons, you will have to wait a couple weeks for the video.
