HS Basketball – Rivalry #1
Ok, so now I must apologize. After last nights hockey game, I started to come down with a cold. Not the flu, but just a bad cold. I probably should not have shot this game, but with it being against Pomona, I had to. But, with the cold, I have had no push to post anything from Tuesday until now.
The Pomona Panthers came into the game winless in league play. Yes, Pomona is a football school, but you never know what will happen when they face their rivals A-West or Ralston Valley. The Mustangs were sitting on a 2-1 league play record and 19th in 5A Colorado basketball.
Early in the game sophomore Dallas Walton missed on a backdoor alley-oop attempt, but did throw down a second half dunk that I missed. I blame my cold, but I just could not frame it up fast enough. I should have anticipated it as I truly believe Dallas can dunk anytime he touches the ball.
Ralston Valley took a first quarter lead and never looked back as they destroyed the Panthers 72-37.
Here is my 10 Shot from the game.
