HS Girls Basketball – Tigers take on Mustangs
Finally, the Ralston Valley Girls basketball team had a home game. It seemed like it was forever for them to play in their own gym. Unfortunately, they were taking on a very good, undefeated Lakewood team.
Lakewood outscored the home team Mustangs by two points in the first quarter, and with Ralston Valley taking control in the second quarter, putting up 18 points to Lakewood’s 8, they took a 8 point lead into the locker room at halftime. It looked good for Ralston Valley, but then the second half started. Lakewood chipped away at the Mustangs lead by 4 points in the third quarter, then went buck wild in the 4th quarter. Lakewood outscored RV 27-12 in the final 8 minutes to win the game 64-53.
Winter break (Christmas Break for you old schoolers) was rough. It had been before Christmas since I was in the RV gym, and lack of games mean lack of sales. And then coming back, I had to deal with Lakewood’s orange uniforms….sigh. I did try a new remote set up. Actually, my old remote set up with a new trigger. A girls game was not the best game to try it with, since there are not a lot of high flying action, but it gave me a chance to try it out. I was about to give up with it when I did get the third image bellow. However, even with that image, I put the remote away for the second half.
Here is my 10 Shot from the game.
