HS Hockey – On to the Frozen Four
Ralston Valley had little difficulty finding the back of the net against Bishop Machebeuf Saturday afternoon. With a 4-0 win over Machebeuf, the Mustangs moved to 21-0-0 on the season and secured a spot in the Frozen Four on February 28th at the Denver Coliseum. Machebeuf had one real chance to score in the game. With the RV goalie out of position, another RV player dove onto the puck, but kicked the goal loose which ended up in Bishop Machebeuf being given a penalty shot. However, they were unable to get the puck into the goal and frustration set in. I do hope administration for Bishop Machebeuf were paying attention and deals with the player that acted in a way that is disrespectful and put others at the rink in danger.
This best news for Ralston Valley came after their game was over. The one team that gave them their toughest game all season, Mountain Vista (RV won 4-3 in overtime), was upset by Regis Jesuit. The Mustangs will face Cherry Creek on Friday, who they defeated 3-0 in January, and if they make it to the final, they will face either Regis Jesuit who they defeated 3-0 earlier in the month or Monarch (RV beat them 4-1 in January). Things are looking real good for Ralston Valley.
Here is my 10 Shot from the game.
