No playoff soccer for the Rapids this season, so I shot my last game until next year Saturday night. Honestly, I will miss it. The entire staff at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park and the Colorado Rapids are super nice (except for one parking lot attendant who had a superiority complex for the last game), and they took good care of us.

This was a fun game to shoot. It was cold, but not as cold as the previous couple nights, and while it was not a sell out, it was a pretty good crowd for the last game of the season. It made for some pretty good pictures.

At first I did not really care for the Dynamo uniforms, but the color is kind of punchy. I know that the Rapids were playing against the Dynamo reserves, but they were playing their hearts out. If they would have played with that intensity all season, they might have just made it into the playoffs.

One word about the above photo.
Ouch!

I have shot all levels of soccer. Youth, high school, college, pro and Olympic level, and this is the first guy I have seen wearing a helmet. Kind of odd. The Rapids got a goal early in the game, and then a second goal in the second half. It was fun to shoot, and I can not wait for my season credential for next year. Looking forward to it!
