The #2 ranked Ralston Valley Mustang football team just needed 1 half to take care of Castle View on Friday afternoon at the North Area Athletic Complex in Arvada.  With 22 points in the first quarter, and 23 in the second quarter, the mercy rule running clock took over with 4 minutes left in the 2nd quarter.  The Mustangs absolutely dominated Castle View.  Next up for Ralston Valley will be Fort Collins.  I can tell you, I was very happy that RV played the way they did.  I really feel that they could win state this year, and this being the 2nd game of 4 in three days for me, I was happy to see a running clock.  I know it is tough for Castle View to end their season on a mercy rule, but they should be proud making the playoffs.  Here are photos from the game, and as always, check out MaxPreps.com to view and purchase photos, check scores, and the state championship brackets.
